Recently
FRA inspections have had an increased focus on out of schedule tests,
particularly where there have been trouble calls at crossing locations.
Raildocs test and inspections are being compared with remedy tickets
to ensure that out of schedule tests are being entered following
crossing trouble calls (per Signal Instruction 7.2 – Responding to Crossing Reports).
Furthermore,
out of schedule tests must be entered following any disarrangement,
replacement, or adjustments to assets of any kind. This is also being
looked at by the FRA, utilizing trouble tickets and Raildocs test
records.
Please
ensure your workgroups review and discuss the requirements of signal
instruction 7.2, as well as brief on the increased focus on out of
schedule test records.
